A campaign promotion contains the criteria that will trigger the promotion and the discount of that promotion. Multiple criteria can be added. The promotion can be configured such that as long as one of the criteria is met, the discount applies, or all the criteria has to be met before the discount is triggered. That allows for discounts to be applied to either many different use cases at the same time or very specific use cases.
A promotion is assigned a “definition” when it’s created. The definition determines the content that the marketer can add to the advertisement.
The basic concept of the definition is the same for promotions as for products although obviously a promotion definition does not deal with variants.
Because the promotions are configured using definitions you can add your own properties and multilingual properties effectively giving you multilingual marketing campaigns right there.
No need to configure the same campaign item twice if you want to target different languages, just add the relevant multilingual properties and you’re done!
